Waves by Lois Alexander is a solo choreography and an invitation for the audience to embark on a journey into a world of interwoven consciousness. Lois navigates between dance influences which form her unique choreographic language in an open spatial score to the transformative music of Grégoire Simon. The result is an embodied and hybridized expression of movement which creates a ritual of intuition for the performer and the audience. Waves is a 16 minute journey between ancestral and spectral worlds where each gesture unfolds to the next through undulations, shakes and ripples.
