About

Neptune takes water and its shifting states as a lens for transformation, instability, and becoming. Surrounded by melting blocks of ice, Lois Alexander moves through a landscape that holds both vulnerability and force, examining how the body absorbs, resists, and rewrites the structures that shape it. What begins as a personal inquiry expands into an elemental universe where form, sound, and presence slip between states. Created in collaboration with scenographer Nina Kay and composer Sea Novaa, Neptune marked a defining early work in Lois Alexander’s practice and continues to resonate as a study of transition and embodied change.
