Pilates

I teach in groups and with individual clients to improve alignment and well-being. Our bodies are constantly changing, and Pilates is helping to be flexible with those changes. Inspired by Joseph Pilates and his principles, I am focused on whole body health and the use of breath to facilitate cell turnover to nourish all systems of our body.

Dance

My class begins with an awakening of the body parts and senses, followed by sequences influenced by classical modern alignment and contemporary floor work. After we are warm, we work on dynamic shifts of weight and our relationship to gravity as we move through space. Then, I offer guided improvisation and/or phrasework to develop specific themes. My classes are adaptable, with the main goal being to strengthen our body as a powerful tool of expression.
